The Ramakrishna Vidya Mandir (RKVM, since 1983) is now renamed Ramakrishna Mission (RKM), the school run by Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, a branch centre of Ramakrishna Mission Belur Math, the worldwide headquarters of Ramakrishna Mission. Earlier RKM school was under the management and control of the Ramakrishna Ashrama Society (founded on October 29, 1959), led by then Secretary Late Swami Swaroopananda Ji Maharaj as the founder member.
It was started on May 14, 1972, under the M.P. State Board of Education. In the later course, it qualified for affiliation with CBSE New Delhi (the Central Board of Secondary Education in India) in 1983, serving school students, the budding citizens of the world, on the line of “man making, character building, and leadership training as envisaged by Swami Vivekananda to mould world-class citizens.
The School’s focus is the all-around development of children of this modern age mentally, physically, spiritually, academically, socially and intellectually. Most of the students passing out of this school have a proven track record in India and abroad, successfully made their base in this competitive age and provided leadership in almost all walks of life.

Driving towards excellence and committed to quality education the two English medium schools vizRKM (CBSE) and RKM (MPBSE – another school) are successfully running over the years since 1983 and 1972 respectively.
The CBSE school has 7 acres of land area with huge playground for football and cricket, cemented basket ball court, open space for Morning assemblies, open auditorium, big library hall and almost all the class rooms are provided digital hardware (Integrated flat panels) and Tata Class Edge online teaching software. It also have separate laboratory forPhysics, Chemistry and Biology with latest equipments in an serene green surroundings. The Niti Ayog Govt of India selected our school under Atal Innovation Mission, an Atal Tinkering Labortory. In order to promote digital literacy, we have added one more computer laboratory exclusively primary students.
